Rainbow’s End Preschool
It is our goal and desire to provide for the students of Rainbow’s End Preschool a program that will help them develop into well rounded individuals. Through structured programs, directed activities, and carefully planned lessons, we will provide opportunities for students to develop the mental, physical, social and spiritual aspects of their lives. Great care will be taken to see that all personnel, curricula and facilities are the best possible. Through evaluation and careful planning, changes will be made as needed to insure a top quality program for our students.
Weekend Snack Pack
Many children who receive free or
reduced-price school meals are left without adequate nutrition on weekends and holiday breaks. Creve Coeur Christian Church ‘s Weekend Snack Pack Program is designed to fill this gap by providing healthy, kid-friendly, and easy to prepare snack foods to children at risk of weekend hunger. Our program is funded through the generosity of our church membership and community civic organizations. Currently, our church prepares 400 sacks each month of the school year.
Food Bank
The Creve Coeur Christian Food Bank was started in 1982 by three women who came along the minister, in response to the long Caterpillar strike. Open every Tuesday, in the beginning, the food came from private donations filling the food barrel that still exists today. We began serving about 20 to 40 families who came once a month. We have grown to serving over 2,000 people and over 800 families a year. The Food Bank is now open on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 1:00PM to 3:00PM.
